Tonie Nwume- Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Nwume has vast and enriching experience in Computer Science and financial services spanning over 18 years. He has worked locally and abroad with Information Technology firms and banks.

Mr. Nwume began his banking career in 1990 with Oceanic Bank international Plc. He later relocated to the United States of America in 1998. There, he worked as an IT consultant for established companies including Diamond Shamrock Inc. Houston, Texas and The Computer Merchants, Norwell, Massachusetts.

In 2000, Mr. Nwume returned to Nigeria. Since his return, he has functioned as Head of the Information Technology Department and ICT consultant to several organizations, helping in setting up and restructuring of their ICT departments.

He had his degree in Computer Science from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and has undergone extensive training in ICT and custody operations locally and abroad. He has attended the Securities Settlement and Global Custody Training by the International Faculty of Finance London.

Akpe Osedeme – Head, Compliance.

Akpe Osedeme is a seasoned banker who holds an MSc Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ibadan and a distinction in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic Idah. His banking career started with the then Lion Bank of Nigeria Plc in 1989. While with the bank, he worked and held management positions in various departments including Head Office Accounts and Reconciliations, Branch Management, Risks Assets Management, Human Capital and Investment Banking. He gained vast, intensive and rich experience and rose to the position of an Assistant General Manager before joining Diamond Pension Fund Custodian in 2005.

He worked with several organizations including Peat Marwick Ani, Ogunde & Co (Chartered Accountants) and ECWA Rural Development Limited carrying out Accounting/Auditing and Finance functions before beginning his banking career.
He was a member of the pioneer staff team of the Diamond Pension Fund Custodian Limited. He has worked in various departments of the Company as Heads Compliance & Control and Operations. He has attended the Securities Clearing, Settlement and Global Custody programme of the International Faculty of Finance London. Other Industry specific trainings include: Custody Operations and Custody 2000 by Sectech Limited UK, Pension Fund Administration programme of Euromoney Training, Custody business and capital Markets Operations programme of Sectech Limited UK/Traxivest Consulting Limited.

Chikezie Azoro – Head, Risk Management

Chikezie has an M.Sc degree in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan with interests in Stochastic Processes. He started his banking career with Oceanic Bank International Plc in February 1993 from where he joined Diamond Bank Plc in October 1997. He worked mainly in the Operations Division of the bank till July 2005 when he joined the Inspection Group. In November 2005, he became one of the pioneer staff of Diamond Pension Fund Custodian Limited.
